The robot was developed in order to study how robots can learn from humans the way children learn from adults.

Myon is a complicated machine that has 192 sensor motors that allow it to function. It has a touchscreen on its chest that allows for easy data input and output and information transmission. It has skin made of fibreglass-reinforced polycarbonate shells, which makes the exterior of the robot very sturdy.
