Humanoid bipedal robot ASLAN was developed by the National University of Singapore, headed by Professor Chee-Meng Chew. This life-sized robot stands four feet tall and weighs 60 kilograms. It has 23 degrees of freedom: six on each leg, four on each arm, two on the neck, and one on the waist. Aslan was built to test robots walking energetically on both even and uneven ground.
