P Series : P 1

P 1

P 1 is Honda’s first prototype humanoid robot developed in 1993. Its design was based on the human structure so it has a body and upper limbs attached to it. The robot weighs 175 kg and stands 191.5 cm tall with 30 degrees of freedom.  Its legs and arm movements are coordinated and it can perform simple tasks like picking up objects, carying things and grabbing door knobs.

The P1 Robot is Honda’s first robot for this series and is the first full humanoid (upper and lower body parts) robot that they developed.
