Posy is a humanoid robot made by SGI and designed by Flower Robotics’ Tatsuya Matsui in 2002. Posy, unlike other humanoid robots, does not have many features. It was designed for pure entertainment and to trigger emotional response from its human audience. Matsui was inspired by his desire to prove to people that robots can serve the purpose of making humans happy by the robot’s personality alone. With this, he incorporated “innocence” to his design. Posy resembles a 3 year old wedding flower girl.
