  • The Precise Path RG3 is the product of a 3-year intensive research program by Precise Path of the USA. This mowing robot was completed in 2010. It has a straight line mowing pattern made possible by self-guided robotic technology. This technology allows it to maintain straight lines with evenly spaced mowing paths that overlap less than two inches. The RG3 is also able to accurately and consistently cut grass with uniform height. This robot allows the user to set the number of turns it will perform. This lessens the occurrence of turf bruises and tearing.

The creators of RG3 pride themselves on using a robotic technology that results in precise, unmanned navigation. This is accomplished with the use of ultrasonic transmitters and infrared sensors situated on top of the robot. The transmitters and sensors are used in conjunction with four beacons that are positioned around the lawn or golf course. This allows for the safe, independent navigation of the mowing robot.

The cutting mechanism of RG3 is anchored on a 21-inch wide, 11-blade cutting reel. This provides a very clean and close cut on the greens. Its 10-inch diameter traction roller, made of split aluminum, provides optimal turf conditioning.

     Features:

    • Advanced steering controls for turf-friendly turns
    • Pivoting frame to follow undulated greens
    • Retractable handle for easy loading/unloading to mowing target
    • Easy-to-use software with graphical icons for easier navigation and set up
    • Complete control still determined by a human
    • Integrated software allows scheduling of mowing tasks
