In 2002, Tmsuk Co. was commissioned by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development, or NEDO, to develop and make a security robot, which was capable of detecting and putting out small fires. This security robot, called the QC-RS, can be operated remotely or can function autonomously.
Designed specifically to do its task, this robot works to protect any building or structure from fires. With its cameras and sensors, it can also double up as a security robot, reporting any suspicious acts.
The technologies applied to this security robot were later used in the development of the T62K and T63 robots.
