R.Bot is a humanoid telepresence robot created by R.Bot in 2009. R.Bot’s vision was to design a consumer robot that will serve as a home and office assistant. With its own home and office surveillance system, R.Bot 100 can become the user’s authorized representative when it comes to meetings and appointments he cannot personally attend to.
Researchers designed R.Bot with a fun and child-friendly appearance for household purposes. It can serve as your “spy” or “babysitter” reporting the happenings in your home or office. The user can also speak to people in a different place through R.Bot. Just logging on to the Internet makes the user access all these features and more.
