Recycling Robot
Matec Yao of Osaka created a humanoid educational robot which is also a pro-environment robot. This robot sorts out 6 kinds of plastic. The user must place the plastic material onto the recycling box and the robot will use its laser to identify its kind. The robot will then transfer it to its corresponding box. As an educational robot, it helps students practice their skills in identifying objects (i.e. whether the object is metal, plastic, etc).
