  • Canadian robotics company Robo Motio has developed a humanoid robot that can express emotions while interacting with human beings. This robot is called Reddy likely due to the red hard steel hat it wears.

The nine servos installed in its face make it possible for the robot to express various emotions i.e. joy, anger, sadness, resentment, surprise and even disgust. The servos achieve this by manipulating the parts of Reddy’s face, which includes its lips, eyes and eyebrows.

This Canadian robot has 17 DOF and is equipped with a main board with power systems. Currently, this humanoid comes with only a torso. LED lights are also installed on this emotional humanoid robot.

Weighing approximately 14 kilograms, this robotics firm’s robot has the potential to be developed into a means for research, entertainment and for marketing applications.

    Reddy Features:

    • Microphone
    • Eye cameras
    • Laptop racks
    • CAN Driver
    • LED Lights
    • Adjustable analog
    • Digital servos
