Being the most recently built humanoid robot, REEM-C integrates the best expertise in robust platforms and biped robots to enable the development of applications. Developed by Pal Robotics, REEM-C is a robotic platform that is created to use and implement algorithms easily.
REEM-C is an adult size robot with a height of 165 cm, and it has two i7 computers, 44 degrees of freedom, torque/force and range finders on each foot, 4 microphones, stereo camera and other devices that make the humanoid the best research platform today. A depth camera can also be attached to the head of the robot. Moreover, the humanoid robot has already developed software for grasping, walking, human-robot integration and navigation.
Aimed at research and academic users, REEM-C is ROS compatible and comes with an SDK. The robot is powered by a 48 V Lithium-Ion battery and it can perform for around 3 hours with frequent motion or 6 hours on stand-by. Moreover, REEM-C takes around 5 hours to charge fully.
