  • Researchers at the Universidad Carlos III of Madrid, Spain, created a full size 3D humanoid robot called the RH-0. The humanoid has 21 degrees of freedom, stands at 1.35m and weighs 40 kilograms.

The main aim of the university was to make the robot walk and control light objects. This robot can sense various other global robot features. It can also recognize objects due to the various sensors located in its head.

For now, this robot is capable of manipulating light objects but in future, it can be used to assist or help physically impaired people. This robot paved the way for the development of other robots of its kind namely, RH-1 and RH-2.

    RH-0 Features:

    • Bipedal robot
    • Equipped with various sensors
    • Object recognition
    • Can control objects
