  • The Universidad Carlos III of Madrid, Spain, or UC3M, created the successor to their RH-0 robot called the RH-1. This newer version’s mechanical designs were enhanced further, making it a more advanced humanoid robot as compared to its predecessor.

UC3M also equipped the RH-I with a powerful sensory system enabling it to work autonomously alongside humans. This Spanish robot is also capable of autonomous dynamic bipedal walking. It can move or lift objects, and head towards the direction of any visual or audible stimuli.

Its interactive functions include shaking hands with humans, lifting books, closing and opening doors, among others. The RH-I robot can also be tele-operated using low or medium commands. It can extend its arms, move to the right or bend its knees.

    RH-I features:

    • Equipped with sensorial system
    • Vision system
    • Colored cameras
    • Telemeter laser
    • Directional microphones
    • Bipedal walking
