The German cleaning equipment manufacturer Kärcher unveiled Robocleaner RC3000 in 2004. It is a cleaning robot that can vacuum and sweep all kinds of flooring. It has anti-stick protectors that prevent the robot from getting stuck under furniture. It also comes with a built-in interactive intelligent dirt recognition sensor for finding dirty spots, and a sweeper brush and suction for deep cleaning. When it’s in cleaning mode, the unit conveniently turns off when it’s picked up.

The RC3000 has four fall sensors that can distinguish stairs and ledges. It can also detect cables and wires that are in its path. The vacuuming navigation is guided by an infrared beam and optic sensors which allow it to recognize and move around obstacles. Spring-bearing wheels and special rubber ears are also present to prevent the robot from wedging itself under the furniture.

The Robocleaner RC3000 comes with a base station that serves as its charging station when not in use. The base station is equipped with infrared and touch sensors that are used for navigation. The whole base station is easy to carry, making it convenient when transporting the robot to other locations.
