    Hanson Robotics wanted to create a humanoid robot that could be used for a wide array of human behavioral studies. The resultant creation was RoboKind, an educational robot platform that can be used for research pertaining to psychology, cognitive, and neuroscience subjects. It can also be used for studies regarding autism treatment.

    RoboKind is able to walk, speak, and show facial expressions. It can walk with sophistication with the help of its walking control technology, while speech and expression are enacted through speech recognition and facial tracking. RoboKind has HD cameras, inertial sensors, and uses Maxon motors.
