In 2005, the Korean company Hitec launched Robonova 1 – a fully customizable biped robot that has the ability to perform lifelike movements with the use of its smart Hitec muscles. The simple programming software embedded in the robot allows it to walk, run, flip and dance. It can also be programmed to do cartwheels and one-handed pushups.

Robonova 1 is shipped in packaged kits in order to allow robot enthusiasts to assemble their own aluminum humanoid. By correctly following the instruction manual, an owner can assemble the whole robot in a span of 6 to 8 hours. There are also prepackaged units that are already assembled for immediate use.

This humanoid can serve its dose of entertainment through its showcase of different pre-programmed movements. In addition to this, the robot can be configured according to the preferences of the owner.
