  • In 2010, Panasonic unveiled the Robotic Bed. The concept behind this consumer robot was the fusion of an electric care assistance bed with a wheeled chair and a hair-washing robot. The result was the Robotic Bed, an ideal robot for salons, spas, care giving institutions and hospitals.

The Bed is adjustable, which provides the user with a degree of control over comfort, and the electric chair provides an additional level of independence. The Robotic Bed’s motors have also been reduced and modified. The modifications allow the bed and chair to separate when necessary. These features make the robot a great addition to assisted living centers and hospitals. It can significantly reduce the work of the staff in these establishments.

The hair-washing robot improves the productivity of hospitals and spas because it allows the staff to focus on more important things. The robot has the dexterity of human fingers, allowing it to perform washing and rinsing tasks efficiently. The arms of the robot also have power detection sensors equipped with three motors for swinging, pressing, and massaging movements to better improve their work.

    Features of Robotic Bed:

    • Converts from bed to wheelchair
    • Can be fused with hair-washing robot
    • Components can be separated or fused as needed
