Delfi-n3Xt

TU Delft collaborated with the Dutch space industry to develop a small satellite, known as Delfi-n3Xt.  Belonging to the Delfi nanosatellite development line, Delfi-n3Xt is a successor to the Delfi-C3 mission.  Just like other Delfi satellites, Delfi-n3Xt aims at facilitating practical education, nanosatellite innovation as well as technology demonstration.

Launched in November 2013,Delfi-n3Xt serves as a triple-unit CubeSat of TU Delft. It features a micro-propulsion system along with a smart electrical power subsystem, an attitude control and radio transceivers as well as amorphous silicon solar batteries.

The main objective of Delfi-n3Xt is to support and strengthen the goals of the Delfi Space Program. The three major goals focus on education, payloads or technology demonstration as well as nanosatellite bus advancement. Delfi-n3Xt has substantially improved the Attitude Determination and Control subsystem. Although its successor (Delfi-C³) featured a passive magnetic stabilization mechanism, this new satellite boasts a complete three-axis determination as well as control system. Moreover, Delfi-n3Xt boasts innovative, advanced and reliable subsystems. TNO, SystematIC and ISIS are the three main external partners with "payloads".
