In 1995, the Japanese robotic company Jouhou System Kougaku Laboratory in the University of Tokyo developed a four-legged robot that has a camera installed in its head, called the Goemon II.

This walking quadruped robot from JSK Laboratory came two years after the Goemon. The new version has tactile sensors and the company made its outputs optically mixed to the camera image through optical fibers.

Through this new technology, JSK Lab managed to make both the tactile sensors and corresponding visual accessible all at once. Just like its predecessor, the main behaviour of this robot is walking and posing.

    Features:

    • Tactile Sensors
    • Vision Sensors
    • CCD Cameras
    • Optical Fibers
    • Quadruped
