    Guard Robot D1 is a security robot capable of multitasking. It was first shown to the general public at the Canal City Mall in Fukuoka, Japan, where it acted as a tour guide during the day and helped out visitors at night. Knowledgeable of four languages, English, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese, Guard Robot D1 it helped with Japanese mall-frequenters and tourists.

    Fulfilling its security duties, Guard Robot D1 can turn itself into a robotic guard in the late hours of mall operation and even after the mall closes. With its artificial intelligence, Guard Robot D1 can operate on its own and decide what to do in different situations. It effectively calls the attention of authorities in the event of burglary, theft, and other unauthorized activities within its vicinity.

    Released in 2009, this wheeled security robot is destined to make safeguarding and security tasks more accurate and advanced.
