  • The Beijing Institute of Technology developed a large humanoid robot that can perform a bit of martial arts.  Jing-Jing stands 5’4 feet tall and weighs 70kgs. It has 28 DOF which makes it flexible enough for its martial arts moves.

    Its body is built from aluminium and ABS plastic, with installations of different positioning motors and encoder wheels, bearings, controllers, sensors, gyroscopes and a harmonic reducer.

    In addition to martial arts, Jing-Jing can also perform numerous other tasks like forward and backward movement, dancing, arts and dialogue, and squatting.
