    The collaboration of SCHUNK, SPACE and Johannes Kepler University in Austria resulted in the creation of a bipedal robot named JKU Bipedal Robot.  It has a height of 180cm and a weight of 40kg, with 6 human-like DOF; 2 on each ankle, 1 on its knee, and 3 on its hip. 

    The robot is activated by 14 modular, compact harmonic drive gears, also known as PowerCubes, and is equipped with specially designed force-torque sensors which allow it to maintain stability.

    Features:

    • Equipped with stereo-camera located in its head
    • Capable of determining its zero moment point (ZMP)
