Kondo Kagaku has added a new model to its Kondo Humanoid Robot series, the Kondo KHR-3HV.  Unlike the Kondo KHR-1HV, it’s a little different when it comes to design, servo interface, frame and DOF. It’s lighter but has a more robust frame and is made of materials like aluminium, polycarbonate and ABS with incorporated glass.

The KHR-3HV has 17 servos, which can be expanded to reach up to 22 degrees of freedom, making it unique. It is equipped with the RCB-4, a new microcontroller board which enables control of up to 35 serial servos.  It is ICS 3.0 servoprotocol compatible, with a board that enables the use of a wide range of sensors and extension options.

An upgraded version of HearttoHeart software has been installed for improved collaboration and performance in team competitions.  This humanoid robot is powered by a 10.8V-800mAh Nickel battery, and can be fast charged for only one hour.

    Features:

    • Ability to retract and stand up faster from a sitting position
    • Uses Daisy chain to prevent troubles like disconnection and improves cable routing
    • Imitate human-like movements like climbing steps, walking, and doing some back flips and somersaults
    • Longer battery life
