    Meka Robotics, a company based in San Francisco, USA, unveiled a humanoid robot that is an integrated and customizable mobile manipulation platform.  It is called the M1 Mobile Manipulator. It stands 126cm tall and weighs 165kg, with 7 degrees of freedom.

    The robot is capable of lifting objects and is equipped with 6-axis torque sensors, several harmonic drives, and singularity free RPY wrists.  It also has M3 and ROS software stacks, including ROS interfaces, KDL kinematics and dynamics descriptions, ROS URDF descriptions and a calibration-free startup in the upper-body. 

    Located in its pan-tilt head is a customizable sensor suite, which includes a 5 MP camera, a MESA SR4000, a Tilting LRF, a Kinect compatible interface and a customizable shell.
