  • Robo Garage developed a robot inspired by the eleventh century novel “The Tale of Genji”.  The company created a real life robotic version of Murasaki Shikibu, a court lady who wears a kimono. The dress puts a lot of emphasis on its blue eyes and red lips, while covering the wheels moving underneath it on an eight axis system.

The robot stands 31cm tall and weighs only 1.5kg. It is able to move its arms and head and hold a fan. Through an integrated MP3 player, it can recite the life story of Murasaki Shikibu straight out of the book.  The Murasaki robot is powered by NiMH batteries and is built to last despite its strong operating demands.

    Features:

    • Built in MP3 player
    • Moving parts
    • Capable of wheeled movement
