  • My Robotics, or Myro for short, is a collaboration project between the Institute of Personal Robots in Education (IPRE), Georgia Institute of Technology, Bryn Mawr College and Microsoft Research. The shared source project is aimed at making it relatively easier for beginner students of robotics to study and learn about computer science using programming robots.

This project has a yielded a feature that allows the robot to hold a pen. The robot does not have any odometer and side sensors. However, it contains various other sensors, which make it avoid obstacles and travel forward. To date, Myro supports a single robot, but researchers at IPRE are planning to add more in the near future.

    Myro Features:

    • Infrared for line and obstacle detection
    • LED Lights
    • Bluetooth connectivity
    • Battery voltage sensor
    • Two frequency tone generator
    • Colored camera
