  • Built by Aldebaran Robotics, NAO is an interactive humanoid robot.  With a height of 58 cm and a weight of 5 kg, the programmable robot has many uses in the fields of global research and education. In fact, the autonomous robot is used in several prestigious universities, laboratories as well as research institutes.

    Designed on the basis of the latest technological principles, NAO is capable of seeing, hearing, speaking, feeling, as well as communicating. Some of the most prominent features of NAO include sensory perception, fluid mobility, obstacle avoidance as well as full programmability by using special software, known as Choregraphe. Users can program and control this humanoid robot in Windows, Linux and even Mac OS. The robot comes with the necessary software and required documentation.

    Today, NAO is considered the chief robotics development platform for diverse topics like balance, motor skills, vision research, grasping, language, as well as human-robot interaction. The use of this interactive robot isn’t only limited to the field of robotics and researchers are constantly discovering new applications for NAO in other areas.
