With the desire to combine hobby, entertainment, networking, and communication in one humanoid robot, Vstone created another unit of their Robovie series called Robovie-PC. Robovie-PC is essentially a hobby robot that performs a variety of motions and also functions as a desktop PC by connecting a USB mouse and keyboard. It can run with operating systems such as Linux or Windows XP/Vista/7. Robovie-PC easily connects to the web for networking and communication purposes.
Like other Robovies, this humanoid robot uses a parallel linkage mechanism that allows it to control the stretching of its legs and have excellent stability. It also has a highly protective exterior made of shock-absorbent urethane foam, making it flexible and lightweight.
