  • Romeo is a humanoid assistive robot that is being developed under Project Romeo. The 140-cm long robot will assist people who depend on others for help. And to achieve this goal, Romeo will boast an interactive design. The robot will be able to move naturally as well as perform simple tasks like opening and closing doors, grasping keys, bottles, etc.

It is also expected that Romeo will be able to help people with mobility problems. While helping such people move around, the robot will monitor and assist them if they face accidents like falling on the ground.

In addition to featuring physical abilities, the interactive robot will have a “human-friendly” interface. Moreover, it will have gestures and voice as the main modes of interaction and communication. This means, the robot should be able to understand what is instructed to him as well as engage in simple conversations while understanding the intentions of the speaker.
