SCHEMA
The conversational humanoid SCHEMA is the product of the laborous efforts of Japan’s Waseda University through its Perceptual Computing Laboratory. Its creators consider SCHEMA their third generation of robots with the capacity to participate in multi-party conversations.
This humanoid is preprogrammed with the ability to listen to speakers. It is able to distinguish the presence of a newcomer in a conversation. Its creators take pride in SCHEMA having the ability to quickly respond to questions and interruptions thrown at it by a human. This talking humanoid does this in a manner that lacks the usual talking pauses other humanoids have.
