In 2008, Zhejiang University’s SUPCON Robot Control Research Institute launched is humanoid service robot, simply tagged as the SUPCON Intelligent Service Robot, to the public. It made an appearance at the Hangzhou Science and Technology Exchange Centre. It also made a promotional trip to the Philippines.
Because of its intelligence, SUPCON Intelligent Service Robot moves either autonomously or through user control. When in its autonomous mode, it uses its various sensors to roam around a location and effectively avoid obstacles.
SUPCON Intelligent Service Robot is aimed at improving how robots are used in providing various services. Researchers and robotics experts at SUPCON assure the public that in terms of functionalities, this intelligent service robot is as flexible as it can be.
