A Japanese robotic company has announced a new addition to its long lineup of robots; a build-it-yourself robot. Vstone, the Japanese consumer robotic firm, has showcased the two feet tall walking robot, calling it the Robovie-i.
This mini robot moves around by rocking its body, which creates a forward thrust when it walks. It resembles a drunken man who wobbles back and forth. Robivie-i’s degree of freedom is quite low at three, two of which are found at its legs, and the other at the center, causing its body to rock back and forth when walking. Measuring at 165 X 04 X 45mm, this 600 gram robot is really small and costs less in comparison to Vstone’s other robots.
