  • Launched in 2009, Roomba 555 is another consumer robot created by the iRobot company of USA. It was designed to help homeowners perform vacuuming tasks with style and ease. Like the vacuum-cleaning robot before it, the Roomba 555 is loaded with advanced technologies which make it much better than its competitors.

The creators of Roomba 555 took into consideration their customers’ busy schedules and added an onboard scheduling system into the robot. It allows the owners to schedule their weekly or daily cleanup tasks. Its three-stage cleaning process is very efficient and allows the vacuum-cleaning robot to collect a huge amount of dirt and dust.

Patterned after its predecessors, Roomba 555 also uses the Cliff Detect system. This stops the robot from falling off dangerous areas like the stairs. It also has the ability to untangle itself from wires and cords that can stop most other automated cleaners. When it finishes its tasks, or when it runs out of energy, it returns to its charging station.
