  • South Korean Robotic company RoboBuilder, together with Korea’s KwangWoon University and KIST, has created the world’s first real-size humanoid robot, called the RQ-Titan. Short for RQ-Technological Innovation Towards Androids, this Korean robot has 22 Degrees of Freedom stands between 84 and 100 centimeters, and can weigh up to 10 kilograms.

    The RQ-TITAN was originally designed to be a research platform for use in the RoboCup’s TeenSize League. With its powerful Smart Actuator Modules (SAM)-170 and SAM-140 servos, this South Korean humanoid robot is quite expensive when compared to other robots of its kind. However, these servos be used on older wCK servos.

    This humanoid robot can be manipulated using a smartphone, an Xbox 360 game console, or through a smaller robot. It is also powered through a Windows-based operating system on a small PC.
