  • Standing at 60 centimeters tall, RURO is regarded as one of the cutest educational robots, primarily because its features are similar to the mini robots used in many animated cartoons. This robot was built by Matec Yao of Japan in 2011.

RURO is designed to teach current and future generations about the importance of recycling. This is made possible by the robot’s playback capacity, which allows it to play pre-recorded messages.

This yellow robot moves around slowly through the mobility provided by its Kondo KRS-4024HV hobby servo motors. RURO also features a light on top of its head that spins around as it performs its other role: detecting thieves.
