Sasuke

  • The Japanese robotic lab Jouhou System Kougaku Laboratory, of the University of Tokyo in Japan, created a remote brained humanoid robot back in 1994. This humanoid robot is called the Sasuke robot.

    Its researchers at JSK laboratory installed a CCD camera in its head, allowing it to see its surroundings when navigating through its environment.

    Standing at 38.5 cm and weighing only 2.5 Kg, this humanoid has 22 degrees of freedom (DOF).

    Though crude by today's standard, the Sasuke robot was advanced during its time. This robot is also capable of bipedal walking while carrying loads.
