Japanese giant, Sony, created its Sony Dream Robot: SDR-3X. This robot can do basic tasks, and walk with the ability to change its directions. Simple movements like balancing on its one leg, kicking a ball, getting up on its own, and dancing are just part of what this robot can do.
This is all made possible after the company synchronized the robot’s all movements with the 24 joints on its body. Its brain creates an occupancy grid of the visual surroundings, similar to the systems employed by Hans Moravec.
