In 2009, SkyHopper was released and became popular as a hybrid robotic insect that can fly and walk. Two colors - red and green - were made available for children, remote control toy enthusiasts, and collectors.

The SkyHopper flies, walks, and jumps according to the commands of the user who manipulates the remote control. It can make a running takeoff in the smallest of spaces. Its wingspan of 15 inches makes it a perfect flier. It is equipped with a crash sensor, which disables its wings during impact. The leg structure of SkyHopper enables it to walk and jump, while its two-channel digital proportional remote control also serves as a charging instrument.
