During the International Robot Expo, or IREX 2005, In The Sky, a Japanese company, showed off a receptionist robot called the SORA. This small robot allows you to talk to visitors before you see them personally.
Equipped with a camera, a microphone, and speakers, SORA enables video conferencing with your visitor. All of these and a sensor are hooked up to a touch screen to provide you with ease in obtaining information and confirmations.
This robot, which can even wave its hands and point directions, is really a great robot greeter for seminars, conferences, and office use.
