  • ED-7270, nicknamed as the U-ROBO, made its maiden show at the ROBOWORLD 2006 Expo at South Korea. This robot was designed by the South Korean company, ED, to help people do household chores by using specific software to guide its route, movements, and actions. This robot is capable of maintaining its balance, even when navigating a 15 degree slope with its eight-axis motor.

    This robotic companion is said to handle a broom, and can even cook dinner, making it a complete home ready robot. The cost of this robot is still unknown, and not much is known as to when this will be available in the market.


    • 1GHz Intel Pentium processor and 512MB RAM
    • WiFi Ethernet, RFID Reader and ZigBee Coordinator
    • RS 232 serial port and 6.4 inch touch screen
    • Voice recognition, and motion and light sensors
    • Eight-axis motor to help maintain its balance
