The Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in Spain developed a full sized humanoid robot that has 21 Degrees of Freedom (DOF). This robot is called UC-3M and is fully autonomous. It is capable of walking at different paces in indoor and outdoor environments.
The UC-3M was designed to cooperate and interact with people as well as with other robots in actual concerted working environments. This robot is equipped with cameras and several other sensors allowing it to interact efficiently.
Microphones are also installed on the UC-3M robot, while two batteries power this humanoid robot for about 30 minutes. RH-0 and the RH-1 were developed using this robot platform.
