WF-4 is Waseda University's improved version of flutist robot WF-3RIX. Among the changes made to this anthropomorphic robot are better sound quality from the flute. The vibrato mechanism was moved to the back of the neck, giving it a more human appearance. It retained its MIDI accompaniment system.
