WT-2
To further improve the articulation mechanism and the quality of voice produced by its talking robot, Waseda University worked on the release of the Waseda Talker No. 2 in 2002. It was also referred to as the WT-2.
WT-2 has the same characteristics as the WT-1R. Both have 15 degrees of freedom for the vocal organs. The length of the vocal tract of WT-2 is 175 mm, almost the same size as the vocal tract of an adult human male.
WT-2 prides itself of clearly speaking all vowels and consonants. This was made possible by the improved articulation mechanism utilizing a software motion simulator, which generated the control parameter sequences of the talking robot.
